Royal Caribbean's
                        Oasis of the Seas

The blog is dedicated to everything about Royal Caribbean's newest ship, the "Oasis of the Seas", due to set sail in November 2009.

I am a fan of cruising.  I love most of the experiences I have had on various cruise lines.  But, let me tell you, this ship has got me truly excited!

Balconyboardwalk The Oasis of the Seas will set the bar for cruising from now on.  It really is a cruising hotel.  In fact, it is a "Cruising City"!  For the first time, I am interested in getting on of their "inside" cabins!  Actually, on the decks above the Royal Promenade, you have balcony views into their central courtyard, called the Boardwalk.  This is where the action will be, all day and night!

I can't wait to sit on my balcony and watch the night life!

And for you nature lovers (I am one!), introducing the Central Park Neighborhood, where you will be able to stroll in a park, open to the sky and flanked on either side by balconies.  There will be actual trees growing in Central Park!  There is even talk about a "Living Wall", though I have not seen images yet.  I will post them as soon as I get them.

And these is just a couple of the new features of the Oasis of the Seas.  I will keep you posted on all the hightlights, including images about building the ships, videos and the stateroom choices!  As fast as Royal Caribbean gives me the info, I will pass it on to you.

But first, just a little information: The Oasis of the Seas is really the first of two ships Royal Caribbean is building to usher in the next wave of cruise ship design.  The second ship will be called the Allure of the Seas and is due out in late 2010.

The Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas will have 16 decks, allow 5,400 passengers and will weigh 220,000 gross tons! The Oasis of the Seas will sail from Fort Lauderdale, Florida on 7-Night Eastern & Western Caribbean cruise itineraries.

Now that you have this information, let's get to the good stuff...
